Healthy Whole wheat Banana-Oats Bread !

Healthy Wholewheat Banana-Oats Bread !  


                              
 A Fibrous Rich Bread! Makes it even more healthier n tastier with
the mix of Bananas ,Brown sugar n Olive oil…So have no Guilt after
 having this!! My kids loved it too!!

Ingredients:
3 Bananas (mashed)
1 ½ cup whole wheat flour
½ cup Oatmeal flour (grind the normal oats)
3/4th cup Brown sugar
1/3rd cup Olive oil
1 egg
½ tsp baking soda
1/4th tsp baking powder
1/4th tsp Cinnamon powder
Pinch of salt
1tsp vanilla essence
Chopped walnuts

Method:
Pre-heat the oven at 200 degrees. Mix the Dry ingredients i.e whole wheat flour
+ oats flour+brown sugar+baking soda+baking powder+cinnamon powder+ salt
 n keep aside.Now mix the wet ingredients together in a separate bowl i.e olive oil
+egg+ mashed bananas+ vanilla essence.Fold in the dry mixture slowly in the 
wet mixure,if u feel the batter is too dry add in 1-2 tbsp of milk.Throw in a few 
chopped walnuts.The consistency of the batter is thick.Grease a tin with olive 
oil /butter n pour the batter in the tin n sprinkle the rest of the chopped walnuts 
on top & bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.Do check in between,do not over
 bake or else might get dry.

Note: Since we are using whole wheat flour the bread does not rise as high as our normal cakes , you shall surely enjoy it as its full of nutrition.Enjoy it Hot or once cooled.I usually store it in the fridge in a closed container.

Saw her cooking this on a tv channel n i loved the whole idea of this simple yet 
delicious dish,made a few changes though!

Ingredients:
2 Chicken Chops appx  200 gms each
1 cup thick curd
1 pod chopped garlic
1 onion (paste)
1 tsp red chilly powder
Juice of half lemon
Salt
2 tsp Butter
½ tsp ketchup

Freshly ground:
--------------------
1 cinnamon stick
2 green cardamoms
1 tbsp black pepper
4 cloves

Method:
Make a few slits in the chicken chops n marinade it with all the above
 ingredients. Refrigerate for 5-6 hours.Heat Butter in a Flat Pan & place
 the marinated chicken along with the entire masala.After  5 minutes add
 in ½ cup water n cover n cook.Turn sides after a few minutes,add ½ cup
 more water if needed.At the end add ½ tsp ketchup ,mix n take off heat.
Garnish with black pepper n salad!!A finger licking Dish!

Note: This recipe can be made without butter.Additions  made from my 
side are Butter,red chilly powder n ketchup.

Another superrr easy cake which gets ready in minutes.


Ingredients:
19 oreo biscuits ( so one big pack n 2 more biscuits)
1cup milk
1-2 tbsp sugar
Plain Eno 3/4th tsp or baking powder

(but i feel eno is better)
Method:In a blender put in the oreo biscuits (full biscuits wit cream) n milk.Give it a gud blend.Grease a borosil bowl with olive oil or butter n keep aside.Now mix the Eno or baking powder inthe chocolate mix n immediately pour the batter in the bowl.


Put it in the Microwave on simple microwave heating mode for 5 minutes.Take it out n let it rest for 15 minutes .Once done enjoy wit choco sauce,ice cream or fresh cherries!

Eggless Choco Strawberry cake (Ready in 6 minutes! )

Eggless Choco Strawberry cake
(Ready in 6 minutes! )
Believe me ,this is one recipe  which has made Cake Baking simple n a beautiful
 experience.Ive had atleast 50 people try this n each one of them has loved it,
simply coz it gets ready in 6 minutes flat n is as yummy n moist as any other
 choco cake…Try it n I can guarantee u shall fall in Love wit it...


Ingredients:
1 Cup nestle dahi
1/2 cup oil + 2 tbsp more
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup maida
1/2 tsp baking powder
1tsp soda bi carb
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 cup cadbury cocoa powder
7-8 strawberries( sprinkle little sugar on the cut 
strawberries n place in microwave for 30seconds till it becomes mushy)( can be made without fruits too)







Choco sauce:
Mix 1/2 cup icing sugar with 1tbsp cocoa powder and a
 little water n mix (no need to cook, sauce is ready)





Recipe:
Mix together sugar, dahi(curd) , vanilla essence and oil till sugar
dissolves. Sieve the dry powders together and keep aside.Now mix in the dry mix slowly in the wet mix with a spatula or light beater. 
Grease a Borosil bowl , pour half the mixture then drop the strawberries 
and pour the other half.Cook in the microwave for exactly 6minutes.
Once done take it out  and let the cake cool and pour
 choco sauce and decorate with more strawberries.
This is the quickest and yummiest cake ive ever had.

Hand Pounded Churma,Papad ki sabzi & Kurkuri Bhindi salad!

Hand Pounded Churma,Papad ki sabzi & Kurkuri Bhindi salad!
(A Dish learnt at a Master Chef class !)
Ok The recipe is long.....but easy, as these are three
 individual dishes put together to give u an amazing
 blast of flavours!!

A.Ingredients for hand pounded churma:
4 plain rotis
25 gm ghee
50 gm castor sugar
15gm pistachio flakes
15 gm almond flakes

Method:
Take rotis n blend in the mixer to get the consistency of
 the churma.Take the mixture in a bowl ,add ghee n dry
flakes.Adjust sweetness wit sugar n keep aside.
(I reduced the ghee n sugar)


B. Ingredients for Papad ki sabzi (This is how we kind of make kadi too)
400 gms yogurt
100 gm besan
15 gm ginger garlic paste
5 gm red chilly powder
2.5gm turmeric powder
5 gm whole coriander
2 whole red chillies
15 gm pounded papad
20 gm maaggi bhuna masala
5 gm chopped coriander
2.5 gm asafoetida
salt to taste


Method:
Whisk yogurt,ginger garlic paste,red chilly powder,turmeric
 n salt in a bowl.Cook the yogurt on slow flame.Take oil in
 a pan ,temper coriander, whole red chilly,cumin n
asafoetida.Add tempering to yogurt mixture n cook on
slow flame. Add maggi bhuna masala,crushed papad n
 black pepper n chopped coriander.



C. Ingredients for Kurkuri Bhindi
150 gm bhindi (lady finger)
10ml vinegar
50gm besan (gram flour)
20gm cornflour
15gm suji
2.5 gm ajwain
2.5gm red chillypowder
2gm turmeric powder
5gm chaat masala



For salad: (I missed out on adding this in the pic)
10gm sliced onion
10gm sliced tomato
5gm tamarind chutney
2.5gm mint chutney



Method:
Take juliennes of Bhindi in a mixing bowl n add all the
ingredients except chaat masala.Add salt n Fry bhindi to
 get desired crispyness.sprinkle chaat masala n all ingredients
 mentioned for salad.




Serve churma topped with kurkuri bhindi salad and with papad
 ki sabzi on side.Enjoyyy

Another simple n yummy dish which gets ready in a few
 minutes.Non lovers of tindey also start loving this dish,
 i can guarantee that ;) And yes, im my iron Kadai again.


Ingredients:
300 gms Tinday
Oil
1/2 tsp sugar





Dry masalas mixed together:
-----------------------------------------------
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp amchoor powder
1/2 tsp haldi
Salt


Method:
Peel the tinda's n make two slits diagonally. Fill them
with the dry masalas(keep aside the left over masala).
Heat oil in a kali kadai, add the tindas n cover with lid.
After 5minutes, turn the tindas , add the sugar n left
over masalan saute for 5minutes.Now add a lil water 
(2-3 tbsp).Cover n cook till the tinda's are well done 
n covered with the masala.
Enjoy with hot chapatis!!

Curd Rice n Asparagus Pepper Fry!

Ingredients for curd rice:
Curd
Boiled rice
Mustard seeds
Urad wash
Green chillies
Kadi patta
Chopped ginger
Fine Chopped cucumber
Fine chopped raw mango
Fine chopped onion
Coriander roots
Salt
Method for curd rice:
Mix the yogurt n rice and add the cucumber, onion, ginger, raw mango, chillies, salt and coriander.To temper the curd rice take coconut oil (I took normal oil) n temper the mustard, urad, curry leaves n asafoetida.(Depending on the quantity of the curd rice adjust the ingredients as per choice).Add this to the curd and keep in refrigerator to cool.
Method for Aparagus pepper fry:
Peel n cut asparagus length wise.Take oil in a pan put in a tsp each of fine chopped ginger n garlic saute till golden brown and add 1tsp of crushed black pepper.Add few drops of water n adjust salt.Toss the asparagus in it for 4-5 mins ( The Asparagus can also be flash fried first before adding to the pepper sauce).Top the curd rice with this amazing mix of Asparagus and enjoy the different flavours in a bite !!!

Baked Spanish Omelette wit Pepperoni,Baby Spinach & Potatoes


In Spanish, this dish is called tortilla de patatas or tortilla espaƱola
to distinguish it from a regular Omelette. The Spanish tortilla
(Tortilla de patatas in Spain) is the most common gastronomic
specialty found throughout Spain. While there are numerous regional
variations, the most common version is the one made with eggs,
potatoes and onion.

Ingredients:
6 eggs
1 medium size potato (peeled n cut in thin strips)
1 cup baby spinach leaves
6 slices of pepperoni
1 cube grated cheddar cheese
2 tbsp milk
Seasoning:  Salt, Pepper n  green chillies (less salt added as pepperoni
n
cheese are a bit salty)

Method:

Pre heat oven at 180 degrees. Heat  oil in a Non-stick pan n cook the
potato strips on medium heat(do not let it turn brown),once cooked
remove n keep aside n nowadd the pepperoni to the same pan .Cook
for two- three minutes on both sides ,add the spinach leaves on a side
n take off heat (we don’t want the spinach to wilt).Till the potatoes,
spinach n pepperoni cool,in the mean time break 6 eggs in a bowl n
whisk a bit with the seasoning.Now fold in the potatoes, baby spinach ,
grated cheese & only 2 slices of chopped pepperoni  n keep aside the
other 4 slices of pepperoni which shall be added midway.Grease a Tin
with olive oil ,pour the egg mixure n bake at 150 degrees for appx 12-15
minutes .Once the omelette is half cooked add in the sliced pepperoni on
the top n bake till well done n set. Enjoy this delicious dish with a Glass
of Fresh Mausambi Juice n Toasted bread!!!

Schezwan Fish wit Bell Peppers!

Schezwan Fish wit Bell Peppers!

Ingredients:
Sole fish 1/2 kg
1tbsp each chopped ginger n garlic
1tbsp chings schezwan sauce or ( grind together garlic & vinegar with 5 red chillies pre-soaked in warm water)
1tsp oyster sauce
1tsp vinegar
1star anise
1/2 cup water
Method
Marinate fish with salt, black pepper and 1tbsp vinegar for 1/2 hr.Dust the fish with cornflour n shallow fry n keep aside.Heat oil in a pan and saute star anise, ginger and garlic till golden.Mix in schezwan sauce, 1/2 cup water,vinegar n oyster sauce n saute for 1 min.Add in the bell peppers and fried fish and saute till mixed well.Yummy fish is ready!
